Tiger Woods sightings have been a bit of a rarity in 2020, but any time there’s a major championship on the line, you can count on the 15-time major champion to make an appearance.
Woods has won three US Opens (2000, 2002, 2008) and has only missed the cut three times at this major. He has played in two majors at Winged Foot, the site of this weekend’s tournament, finishing T29 in the 1997 PGA Championship and missing the cut in the 2006 U.S. Open.
Despite winning the Masters in 2019, Woods has struggled since returning to the Tour after the pandemic hiatus. In four events he hasn’t finished better than 37th in the PGA Championship, 12 strokes behind the winner.
